A first occurred for our little ol' cover band on sat 15th Sept at our gig in the Bier Keller, Bracknell. One of the audience was tranpsorted back to 1987! That's right, it actually happened - our band is now, literally, a musical time machine!!

Let me explain - 1 of the audience members was jumping around so much that he tripped and fell onto the stage (he wasn't alone - it seemed to be a night for people falling onto the stage). In fact, he fell so fantastically well that he completely knocked himself out on Bruce's guitar pedals! An ambulance was called and eveything! Of course, we continued playing! Hey - you gotta be professional!

Anyway, the next week we recieved an email from the guy who knocked himself out. He wrote, and I quote, "when I came round in hospital, I thought it was 1987!" To which we all applaud! For your info, he has made a full recovery back to 2007 and also asked where we he can see The Somethings next because he enjoyed himself so much. Although presumably he'll be there more as a fan than a Time Lord!

We played the Old Ticket Hall in Windsor last night (14-07-07) - what a great gig!

It's an interesting layout here - very high ceiling, a massive bar (which used to be the ticket office) and a horse shoe shaped area around the bar for people to stand. Still - it creates a good atmosphere when the place fills up.

Leaving the doors open to the venue all evening is a great idea because you catch passers by from all angles. The rear doors open onto the platform at Windsor and Eton Riverside Station meaning whilst playing live on stage we can wave at the passengers as they disembark!

Thanks to the American tourist and his family who threw a £20 tip onto the stage! I've never seen Bruce's foot leave his FX pedals so fast before in my life - there was no way I could dislodge him from that £20 although I was racking my brain for a way! Let's hope it catches on anyway! We felt like musical pole dancers! In fact, a note to the girls - you're hereby given permission to put money into our pants!

Our cover band is back here again on Saturday 11 Aug. See you then.......
